The Abortion Distraction

  Liberals always pull it and conservatives always fall for it. It is an unyielding cycle. With our ever left leaning media it is easy to see why the Obama administration's scandals, like Fast and Furious and the debacle of Benghazi, get little publicity. Conservatives are always playing on liberal terms and on a liberal playing field. It's unavoidable in order to obtain any publicity, because for the most part, the liberal media are the only game in town short of a few Fox News hosts and conservative radio. All late-night entertainment hosted shows give large amounts of time to liberal candidates and their endless stream of Hollywood supporters. As we have seen in the recent presidential debates, liberal moderators largely control the narrative and questioning, and when they see fit, interject their own liberal bias acting as human shields for the president's failed policies and possible criminal activities.

  Many Pro-Life conservatives have recently been under attack for their religious convictions toward the life of a human fetus regardless of the hideous and violent acts of rape or incest. To these politicians, a life whose origins involved such violence is still an innocent life no-less, but the Pro-Choice liberals who judge Pro-Life rationality are not being totally honest about their own motives when opposing these convictions. Pro-Choice candidates (that are mostly made up of liberals) are never asked or posed the same type of questioning. For instance, I've never heard a debate moderator ask a Pro-Choice candidate an abortion question from the Pro-Life position of, “Why do you think it is morally right to terminate a human fetus that is not the product of rape or incest?” If they did, you would find these liberal candidates scurrying for the politically correct verbiage as to not make them appear as butchers and murderers. Unfortunately, there is not much of a conservative drum-beat among the media to report those uncomfortable and awkward liberal responses. Furthermore, the instances of abortion due to pregnancy from rape and incest are minuscule in the vast realm of abortions performed. This gets lost in the overall argument which seems missed when drilling only the Pro-Life candidate on the instance of rape or incest.

  Somewhere among us there are certainly men and women (aware or not aware) who were conceived and then born from the act of rape or incest. An example from history might include the many children that were born as a result of mass rape committed by Russian soldiers upon female civilians during of fall of Berlin in WWII. Many of these females were mere children or young teens who endured the hatred and humiliation of these war crimes. Certainly, these human beings born of rape, perhaps more than anyone, can distinguish the difference between God's love for the celebration of life, and His disdain toward the evil acts of men. It is indeed a dilemma of which I myself am personally torn. Yet, I am more comfortable with my own Solomon-like remedy for this predicament, which would probably be viewed as much more controversial, though justly fair in my opinion for all parties involved; but that remedy is probably best left for another discussion or article.

  It seems, however, if you want to distract the voting public from failed economic, social, and foreign policy, you resort to the old dependable standards of abortion, gay marriage, and more sadly, race-baiting. The fall guy's (or gal's) burden in all these cases, weighs upon the shoulders of conservatives and their 'religious' convictions. This is without hesitation, gloriously translated by the liberal media as 'intolerance'. So with abortion it is always worded in such a way that conservatives are somehow condoning or insensitive to rape, hating gay people, and promoting closet racism because they disagree with a liberal black president's ideology. The knee-jerk reaction is to divorce yourself of that conservative candidate so as to embrace the liberal alternative or not vote at all. With only two parties to choose from one has some very difficult decisions to make when considering a candidate. We actually have to make a 'Sophie's Choice' on a number of challenging topics. Which of these elements are of most importance when you have to choose one over another?

  It is no secret that I come from a conservative background and ideology. I believe in less government, and with the current administration I can only expect government to grow ever larger. I love Capitalism. It is the proverbial Goose that Socialism, Marxism and Communism seem intent upon cooking rather than gathering her endless bounty of created Golden Eggs. It is their elitist urge to control every aspect of life that has made the common man their slave. They hate for the common man to possess the power that 'harvested wealth' awards, because it makes men independent and free. And, I too, have a different stance on abortion when it concerns rape or incest than most my conservative Pro-Life friends, because I also have a much different view of God and religion. I find that many conservatives feel the same way for a number of different reasons, and I respect their individual views on the conditions of rape and incest as it applies to abortion. Unlike the Marxian government we are becoming, I don't want to dethrone God and destroy Capitalism just to put into place an 'Us and Them' elitist government of those who make the rules and those of us who must follow them. I don't want to see the U.S. become a nanny state that nurses its citizenry from the cradle to the grave. This election is pivotal, and in my opinion there are larger, more urgent issues at stake than one's spiritual convictions toward even the most sickening violation that would yield a human life, much less whether that life must be heralded or quashed.

  One such issue is the collapse of a national economy that would move people to unthinkable tragedy on a scale so horrific that murder, rape, religious persecution, and race bashing would be commonplace. The other is a government that for its own survival and dominance, would outlaw free speech and disarm its citizens in order to impose their will. This is the climate of the present administration, the United Nations, and the current mood of the failing socialistic governments of Europe. As I have stated many times, if my choice were between bad and worse, I'd choose bad. Bad gives me a little more breathing room in which to evaluate my next course of action. While I do feel a Romney administration could not possibly make things worse, I do believe another four years of President Obama could well destroy our nation's Constitution and thus our very foundation. If we allow that to happen, we will have justly earned the horrors that await us.

The Goose That Laid The Golden Eggs

Just as pulling a rabbit from a hat takes a talented slight of hand, so too is the illusion of the One-Percenter that has obsessed our liberal administration and media. The very thought of it beckons the image of a huge apple pie of which one 'rich guy' will eat a 99% portion, while 99 'less fortunates' will scrap over a 1% sliver that might barely have a crumb to cover a bit of fruity goo. In short, however, it is the same tiring socialistic drum-beat that states that the few have much, and the many have far too little. From that angle the situation would indeed seem that way, when in fact it is an all together poor analogy of the truth. You must suspect, however, if this left-leaning magician can get you to keep your eye on that perspective, then the 'trick' will appear to work without a hitch. The irony of such a point-of-view is that they are absolutely correct, if and only if the system of government and economy comes from a dictatorship, monarchy, or form of Socialism that eventually transcends toward Communism. These examples have both a ruling class and a class of subjects in which no single citizen is much better off than the other. In the final analysis, this is what all far left-leaning idealists would prefer. You (the subject or citizen) don't truly know what is best for you and the world around you, so larger decisions must be made for you by the ruling class (represented by 100% government). The additional irony to you as a citizen or subject is that those ruling in these forms of government comparatively enjoy the bulk of wealth and privilege. I guess there is some comfort in knowing that one's neighbor is in the same quagmire of woe as you are. The 'One-Pie-Theory' correctly defines these systems, and your piece of it would in fact barely make a smear on your dessert plate.

Our founding fathers knew this within their own fledgling government. However, their dream was to see that the common man, or former subject if you will, could grow his wealth and power rather than be tethered to a unified 'elite' source of single 'pie-dom'. Through time, thanks to a living and God inspired Constitution ratified by a Bill of Rights, even a former slave, minority citizen, common woman, revolutionary, or modern immigrant could excel above those people living under the rule of dictatorship, monarchy, Socialism, or its big brother Communism. As the United States of America grew, the dream would not have to be an exclusive, white-male club anymore. Our founding fathers were also keen enough to embrace yet another flawless gift from God. This gift was Capitalism. Capitalism is to nature what all other forms of governmentally driven economies are to a public zoo. (Sorry, it was worth stating in bold print.) Capitalism is a jungle, savanna, coral reef, or delta that is teaming with life and opportunity. It invites the tiniest microbe and the largest beast to an endless plethora of sustainability with little supervision but for that of the sky and seasons. In Capitalism things evolve, adapt, overcome, die and are reborn. Studebaker died, and yet, other car manufacturers somehow miraculously survived, while still others took root and blossomed. Lead, follow or get out of the way partially defines Capitalism. But freedom is its essence. There is no 'Single-Pie' that represents wealth within Capitalism, because like our heavenly Father, Great Spirit, the I AM, God, or Inexplicable Ominous Power, it creates something from absolute nothing. Capitalism springs from the womb of 'opportunity'. It is a 'condition' in which growth is abundant, common, difficult to contain, and guaranteed to breed more opportunities with an endless amount of possibilities. With Capitalism, pies are made moment by moment. There are big pies, medium pies, little pies, and they ain't all just apple pies. What kind of pie would you prefer? Capitalism makes all kinds and if the rich want to run off with a great big pie, let them! You know why? Because there is more pie coming out of the oven every minute of every day and everybody has a chance to grab a piece and eat as much or as little as they want.

Take Steve Jobs for instance. If the myth of the 'Single-Pie-Theory' were true, then from the time Steve was born, someone that owned the wealth in the 99% of that economic model would have left that portion to him when they expired. Yet, not only did Steve not inherit that wealth, opportunity through a Capitalistic society allowed him to create his own new wealth from thin air! The result of this wealth not only created a boat wave of new products which created even more wealth, it plowed an ocean full of citizens into the wake of employment it created. Amazing! In review, Steve Jobs created huge wealth for himself, dozens of industries, an unimaginable number of jobs, support jobs and peripherals, as well as tools and gadgetry that are benefiting countless individuals and creating even more opportunities that once were only lofty dreams. Other forms of government and economy might say that Steve Jobs has too much money and needs to pay more taxes. Really? Should we despise Steve for the pie that he made for himself, or for the endless pies that are now benefiting those who did not come up with the idea of Apple? Heidi Klum, who is an industry in herself, might say, “Don't hate me because I am beautiful.”

What of Oprah Winfrey? What rich cobbler-robber gave her his part of the 99% when he went to 'Single-Pie' heaven? Opportunity, through the fortune of living in the United States of America, allowed her to climb to wealth and fame. Like Steve Jobs, she created her own new wealth while dishing out pie to others through her brand and industry, which is still growing and giving by the moment. Black, a woman, obese at times, and not nearly as physically beautiful as her gorgeous heart and loving disposition, Winfrey amassed international wealth and respect. This wise and savvy businesswoman at times seems to lean toward the elites of far-left governance and socialistic ideology, but only Capitalism could have enriched her life and career with the success she acquired. However, she either believes in the fairy-tale of the rich hording nearly all the wealth, or choses to ignore the socialistic practices of class warfare, big government and race baiting that are commonplace with the Obama administration. She certainly has the right to be bitter about the treatment of blacks through the history of this nation, but it was never the fault of Capitalism. Would one not agree that Excalibur belonged in the hands of a righteous man? Using Capitalism to obtain the power to settle a score with white-greed, cruelty and poor judgment by siding with Socialism, just doesn't make good sense. Once blacks are offered 'opportunity' rather than oppression and slavery their own limits also become boundless. Outside of Capitalism, only the ruling class has opportunity, unless of course, they choose to nurture you to their level. It would not occur otherwise. By the Grace of God, our forefathers finally surrendered their own hypocrisies through the passage of time and the miracle of the U.S. Constitution. Dictators, Royals, Socialists and Communists surrender nothing except by revolution, and even then there is no guarantee it will be replaced by a republic of capitalistic freedom. It might otherwise be hijacked by well-oiled socialist unions, or perhaps a highly organized Muslim Brotherhood in the aftermath of rebellion.

Even the smallest entrepreneur, though not a Steve Jobs or Oprah Winfrey, can create self-sufficiency if not great wealth in Capitalism. Ambition need not be stellar to make a positive impact on the economy. I know of a restaurant owner who lives what she determines to be a comfortable life. She is not wealthy by any means, but her diner is a popular place and she employs 15 people who earn a respectable weekly paycheck cooking, serving and cleaning because her business is a success. She created 15 jobs and a living for herself by risking her home and accumulated income from prior employment to gain a loan to 'create' a business. She made herself a 'humble pie' and her success has allowed her to be generous to her staff, many of whom have been with her for a decade or more. Our nation is stuffed with this entrepreneurial spirit in all sizes and shapes. That's a lot of renewable pies. Why would anyone not want to support Capitalism and the unabashed freedom it requires as a condition to pursue happiness? I'll explain to you who detests it and why.

If you can steer the lead horse in the herd, nearly all the rest will follow. Those who hate Capitalism (or favor big government) will try to frame the argument by blaming one's failure to succeed on the horded wealth of others. This is what elitist factions of the world teach their minions, while curiously excluding themselves from that equation. These passionate followers, who often identify themselves as 'Progressives' among other ill-tagged titles, then preach their false gospel to the masses and begin winning converts. The elite faction knows that Capitalism can make a king from a pauper, and they know that with great wealth comes great power. It also translates into greater freedom, self-reliance, and influence upon others. All these elements are enemies of New World elitist factions when they choose to want to shepherd the masses toward their own agendas. These agendas aren't always so much about greed, as they are about shaping the future they aspire. These elites are agents of a New World Order and work hard to develop ways to make people dependent upon them, because dependency is in fact slavery. All wealth has been controlled by them, and they periodically wrangle it all back in with surprising ease. The less independent, poorer educated and least self-reliant the citizenry are, the easier it is to get folks back into the corral. These are well planned goals that develop over decades. All systems of government and economy are gardener's implements used to gain the desired yield. Capitalism is the crown jewel of these implements. It is the world elite faction's favorite tool to grow their own possibly misdirected wealth. The residual effect of using such a tool, of course, is that the wealth it generates is contagious. The cup runneth over, so commoners can excel as well. We can only guess what the elite faction's ends may be, though it would appear their present intension is to now crash national economies. These few 'gardener elite' encouraged (or nurtured) not only Capitalism, but Socialism and Communism in order to burden and dilute Capitalism's natural potency. Monarchies, Dictatorships and major religions are also old friends that they have infiltrated and manipulated to control the common man. All these and more, create little flocks which make man easier to control through various triggers of allegiance. However, cycling-out Capitalism when the time comes to pull in the reigns is like trying to stop a freight train in a short mile. The horrifying result is the brutality of nature in upheaval. Recall, once again, that Capitalism acts more like a 'jungle' than a zoo. There are consequences for destroying a 'natural habitat', unlike merely locking the main gate for the night and then shutting off the lights.

It is difficult to know with the New World Order how the cards may fall, because regardless if we are Capitalists or all that oppose it, the elite faction uses all systems at their will. They have supported all ideologies at one time or another throughout history with their great wealth gleaned through the greatness of Capitalism. It's all about owning and controlling the future, and they do it shamelessly because they deem it their 'utmost responsibility'. It may be completely insane, but they seem to feel they are the warders of the earth. I was watching some of the economic hearings for the national budget from the spin-less open camera of the C-SPAN cable station. The bantering between the Secretary of Treasury (representing the current administration's budget proposal) and the bipartisan committee were at extreme odds. All the numbers, calculations, and terminology are confusing for the most of us, but one thing appeared indisputable. One side was supported by independent facts and historic trends, and the other by a stubborn belief to knowingly ignore those facts and trends. It seems we've done all we can to pull the plug on American Capitalism by diluting its purity through bizarre trade laws, unrelenting union pressures, and mountains of restrictive regulations in order for other countries, who will not embrace our same freedoms, to thrive from a bastardized version of our own Capitalism. We slide backwards, and they advance in a shackled form of Capitalism, lacking all the normal conditions for limitless success. It is literally choking our economy to death, and is so moronic, that it must be contrived. All the anti-rich rhetoric, taxing, red tape, along with the 'sucking sound' that even Ross Perot predicted of industry fleeing south and over seas to escape, has resulted in a gun placed to our own economic head.

Throughout our lives each generation has learned a thing or two from a fable, or story carefully designed to illustrate a truth about something. When I think of Capitalism I am reminded of the story of the Goose that laid the Golden Eggs. The Little Red Hen also touches upon the fringes of Capitalism. “Who will help me make the bread?” The question was an invitation to make enough bread for everyone to eat, but fell short because each of her tasks she wished to parse had to be done by herself. So instead of many loaves, she could only make enough to feed herself and her small chicks. All the other animals then envied her creation upon her now iconic phrase, “Who now, will help me eat the bread?” These types of stories are more modern versions of parable truths found in the wisdom of spiritual scriptures and oral traditions which have enriched all cultures. They transcend the pin holes in politics and porous leadership, because their lessons actually hold water. Capitalism lays golden eggs, while every other system just wants to cook the goose. The motivation to see its demise is deeply rooted in centuries of prophetic lore. Despite man's penchant to change or circumvent nature to suit his own misguided want, all efforts prove futile, temporary or fleeting. Yes, like the Divine or some yet unseen mode of science, we have the ability to create. However, the ingredients which we gather to assemble our wondrous works did not originate from the minds of men. They have always simply 'been'.

Nature need be our pattern and lesson in all things that concern mankind. We could learn from history for instance, yet we rarely acknowledge the lessons it teaches us. Thus, we repeat its errors to our own peril. To ignore the law of nature can be far more devastating. As I have stated many times, nature isn't so much about what's right or what's wrong. Nature doesn't judge. It is more about what works and what doesn't work most of the time. Your judgment will be the outcome of your efforts. Capitalism is man's most harmonic gift of commerce if he is to be a social, civil being. Otherwise, man would find himself competing on a wholly different and likely savage level. Just as in nature, Capitalism allows for growth and prosperity through opportunity and freedom. It is no wonder that man tends to gravitate toward it, while those who want to rule over man try so diligently to control it.
